To my Dedicated Consignors:
First and foremost I would like to thank you for the wonderful support I have received from you the Consignor, without you I couldn’t be in business.
The response has been so overwhelming that I have to change my policies a bit.
#1: As of August 1 2019 if you live in town there will be a limit of 25 items per person per week. For those out of town it will be 50 items every two weeks.
The reason for this is if one consignor brings in 3 garbage bags full of clothes, they are taking up a lot of hanger spaces, and I run out of space to put out other peoples items. Now that I’ve limited it to 25 items per person, it will be a lot fairer to everyone.
I have instructed my team to adhere to this new policy strictly!
#2 : In the past if there are dirty clothes brought in, often I have bought them for $5.00, taken them home and washed them, and reintroduced them under my own name. Needless to say at times those items have not sold, and I have lost money. In the future if the clothes are brought in dirty, you will not be paid for them! I may wash them and resell them, but you WILL NOT BE PAID for them, so PLEASE, be extra diligent about the clothes you bring in. I’m finding a lot of hoodies and jackets have not been washed! Often I find used tissues, wrappers, etc. in the pockets. Also be aware of the cuffs and collars, give them a quick spray with a stain remover before you wash them.
If you smoke in your house or your car and the clothes are exposed to that smoke, they will not be accepted, you must freshly wash all of your clothes, put them in a bag or container with a lid, and bring them in asap.
Also if your clothes have been hanging in the closet for an extended period of time, they may take on a musty smell. Try throwing them in the dryer with a damp towel and a dryer sheet.
#3. I will not be accepting scarves until further notice.
#4. Please NO Walmart brands, this includes: G21, George, 725, Penmans. Also unless the following brands are virtually new, they will not be accepted: Ardene’s, Old Navy, and H&M. A lot of these clothes come in wider than they are long, seams coming unravelled, etc. These clothes are unfortunately made to be disposable, a lot of the styles are really cute but the quality just isn’t there.
I hope these policy change will bring all the consignors a bit more money with their quality goods!
Come in often to see our excellent selection, new items put out daily.
Do your part in reducing your carbon footprint, recycle , reduce, and reuse, not just your clothes but everything you can.
